    Picture is showing everything. Thanks for sharing. The Gol Gumbaz or the Gol Gumbadh means "rose dome" in reference to its shape, which is akin to a budding rose. It is a mausoleum of Mohammad Adil Shah, the sultan of Bijapur. It also contains the tombs of his wives and children. Check out more about Gol Gumbaz.

    The picture speaks about the historic relevance of the place, Bijapur. Bijapur is rich in historical attractions. There are many places to visit in Bijapur and it is well known for its historical monuments of architectural importance built during the rule of the Adil Shahi dynasty, Gol Gumbadh being one of them.Thank you for sharing the picture.
